Banded Calcite – Pakistan

Banded Calcite from Pakistan is known for its beautiful natural layers of cream, blush pink, caramel, honey, and soft brown tones. Each piece features unique banding and translucency, giving the stone a warm, almost glowing appearance when it catches the light.

This material is sometimes sold under trade names such as “Pakistan Onyx” or “Banded Onyx,” but it is actually a form of calcite rather than true onyx. Its flowing layers are created as calcite is deposited over time, producing the distinctive striped patterns that make every piece one of a kind.

Because this is a natural stone, variations in color, banding, transparency, inclusions, small pits, and surface characteristics are completely normal. No two pieces will have the exact same pattern.
